My Dancing King....

It's no secret that ever since Johnny's been a baby, he's LOVED music and loves to dance! One of my FAVORITE posts from when he was little involved a full out tantrum when he couldn't do ballet. http://hollandorbust.blogspot.com/2007/11/too-funny_12.html

One day last week, I captured Johnny dancing numerous times. As much as this kid loves sports, he loves dancing as well! His dream was fulfilled this week as he's the ONLY boy in dance camp! Everyone has been really nice to him. If someone did make fun of him, his response is, "I'm working on my footwork and hanging with the LADIES!"

Can't wait for his first recital tomorrow!

One more of my favorite posts from when he was two! http://hollandorbust.blogspot.com/2008/02/wow.html

PS- for some reason I can't cancel the first video I up-loaded by accident up there. Sorry!

Happy Father's Day?

Last night as I was picking up the dining room table, I found this note Johnny had written to Erik. Johnny had gotten a pretty good "Time-Out" earlier. This must have been his way to get back at Erik! Nothing says "Happy Father's Day" like this! I'm sure my parents found a ton of notes just like this when we were little and they were raising four little girls! NOT!

Summer, Summer, Summer TIME!

Well, it's official...I LOVE SUMMER TIME! We can all sleep in a little longer (OK, a LOT longer because Bubba is a TOTAL snuggler!) stay up a little later, and just go with the flow! It's a time that's fun to watch kids be kids! As my kids get older, seeing them do many things in the summer, reminds me of being a kid! Fun memories!

One thing we do a LOT of down here in the summer is go to our neighborhood's pool! It's SO hot out, it's really the only outside activity we can do for long periods of time! Here is Bubba on his "First Date" with one of his friends at the pool! Rumor has it she was even feeding him blueberries! Now if only I could get her to come to our house during a meal to get him to eat a fruit or veggie!
Lifeguard break usually entails lots of of EATING! Let me tell you, if these boys keep eating at this rate, I'm going to have a grocery bill that is off the charts! Curtis especially is eating a TON!
Last weekend the two older boys were playing in the garage. (It was so hot in the sun, that they wanted to play in the garage instead). Erik put Bubba out there and I said, "Erik, you can't just put the baby out in the garage! You have to watch him! Erik responded, "Kate, RELAX, what's the worse thing that could happen out there?" So, when we went to check on him, his brothers had him outfitted like THIS! Ummmm, I'm pretty sure this kid was a TOTAL ACCIDENT waiting to happen! (Not to mention, could be in roller derby from the 80's!)
Couldn't resist a shot from behind!
It was SO hot and humid and a storm was rolling in to cool it off for a few days. HOT DOG...a cold front! High temps were only 87 degrees! Ummmm, seems to me these meteorologists need to visit the Midwest and see what a REAL cold front is! (: Above are the boys rolling down the hill once the wind picked up!
Here they are watching the storm come in from the front porch!
Got scooters, will travel!
The boys love scootering...especially down to the pool!
Bubba loves the water!
Who wouldn't if you had the whole kiddie pool to yourself...with all your cars!

The older boys are in flag football in the evenings, and Hubba Bubba wants to be right out there with them! Here he is at Curtis' game!

We went bowling in Tuesday, and had a blast! Bubba told me, "You go stand over THERE MOM!" and didn't want me helping him at all! There he is with the ball! I was not about to have an anxiety attack or anything! I think I told him "DO NOT DROP THE BALL ON YOUR FOOT" about a hundred times!
Watching the SLOW moving ball go down the lanes!
ALL smiles after bowling two strikes in one game!
Lefty was loving it too!
After a game and a half, Bubba was NOT loving it AS much as he was loving the vending machines! We don't call him "Bubba" for nothing! This kept him still for about 2 whole minutes!
More football in the HOT, HUMID weather!
Wearing his mom's old number! Whoop Whoop!
We made cookies on Thursday, and I spilled a little sugar. After I put the measuring cup in the sink, I turned around and saw THIS! Had to grab my phone and take a pic! That is SO Bubba! Licking it off the counter!

Lefty loving the empty pool on a Friday afternoon!

CHECK IT OUT!

My sister Megan runs a lil' business out of her house. I order many of my gifts from her and people LOVE them!

Some of the favorites I've ordered are:

Aprons: For mother-in-laws b-day and Mothers Day, BBQ for men for Fathers Day. Teacher gifts for end of school year with names on them! (THE TEACHERS LOVED THESE!)

Baby gifts: Burp Rags, Personalized baby blankets, or shirts/onsies with initials/age on it!

Birthday Party Gifts: Personalized Pillow Cases (For lil boys I get characters on fabric- These are my boys FAVORITES!), Aprons (I get personalized and attach a cookie cutter to them!), T-Shirts with initials.

Bags- I like these for teachers gifts, purses for friends having b-days or my mother-in-laws, etc!

Check out the link below if you want unique gifts for teachers, parents, baby gifts, mother-in-laws, birthday parties, etc! I get TONS of compliments on the gifts I've given and people ask where they can order them from. Thought I'd pass it along, now that Megan has more time to sew!

Lefty Graduated!

And just like that...the kid that SCREAMED for the first two years of his life (Which seemed like eternity to this sleep deprived mother!) has graduated from preschool and is headed to Kindergarten! Here he is at the HOTTEST graduation ceremony EVER! (98 Degrees without the heat index in the hot sun!)
Johnny kept giving me fake smiles all day long. So, I told him on this picture to think of the WORST word he knew in his head. I was certain he would think of the word "butt munch" and start to giggle. Little did I know that my lil' angel would blurt out the word "Bitch" to me and get a BIG smile on his face! Erik and I were shocked....mouths WIDE open shocked! We just looked at each other. I asked him where he learned that word, and he said, "From Curtis, he told me he knew of a REALLY naughty word that rhymed with pitch, but started with a B!" Needless to say, we had a chat with Curtis that night!
OH SO PROUD! He is MORE than ready for Kindergarten!
One last pic!

I have a ton of videos to post...but it's not letting me this afternoon!

NCAA Baseball National Tourney

One of my Dad's old players, Tony Muller, now plays for the Winona State Warriors. I watched him grow up chasing foul balls at my dad's games, while his older brothers played for Logan. When he was old enough, he played for my Dad's team, and they went to the State Tournament. We've watched him play for the La Crosse Loggers, and also in college ball. My boys have always really liked Tony, and Tony has always been SUPER great to them! This past winter I sent him a message that said, "We'll see ya next at the National Tournament in North Carolina!" Last week while I was in WI on a visit, Tony's team won his regional and got a bid to the BIG DANCE! They made it to Nationals! Here he is stopping by my parent house SIX hours before the bus left for the airport to see the boys!
I was nervous with all the wrestling that was going on, that someone was going to get hurt....and I didn't want that someone to be TONY!
So, on Sunday we flew back to NC, and on Monday left for Cary, NC to watch Tony's second game of the tourney. WSU had one win under their belt already. Here the boys are greeting Tony when he first got to the field!
They were SO excited to see him in NC!
Johnny spent half the game looking (STARING) in the dugout like this!
I like to refer to him as the "creeper!"
I'm sure he's got some sort of nickname from the players!
There Tony is on deck!
They WON AGAIN!
Here are the boys after the BIG win!
They wanted Tony's autograph and got more than that!
Tony came out and gave them EACH a game ball!
They really look up to him!
WSU won their next game, and made it to the CHAMPIONSHIP! We were all set to go, but then ALL THREE of the kids got sick! I was SO bummed out, because I knew we shouldn't go to the game....but it was a once in a life time experience. The kids were wrestling this morning, and were FINE once I gave them Tylenol. They begged me to go, and Erik thought we should. So, I caved in and loaded up the car to watch WSU in the College Baseball National Championship game! Here's Bubba at the field!Winona got beat in the final game, but they played their hearts out. Here is Tony after they announced he made the "All Tournament Team" and was "Co- MVP of the Tournament!" Johnny just could NOT get enough of him! THE CREEPER WAS BACK!
Bubba wanted in on the creeping action!

The boys were so excited to see Tony after the game.
More autographs on foul balls the boys caught!
This picture almost gave me a HEART ATTACK! Tony asked Bubba to hold the trophy! It is all glass in the middle! I was DYING! Bubba was SO proud!

Tony's been a great model for my kids to look up to.
Rumor has it he'll be drafted next week in the MLB Draft!
We'll be watching...that's for sure!
Three HOT sick kids!
Tony in the press tent getting interviewed!

It was a fun week of bball here in NC! Now I'm hoping my kids can kick this illness they have so they can head back to school for the last week of the year! FINGERS CROSSED! (OK...and TOES!
