A Day Out With Bubba!

On Saturday, Bubba and I left the house early. I took JUST him to "The Day Out with Thomas the Train!" He kept saying all week, "No John-John, No Curd-is, No Daddy!" Here he is on the shuttle to go to the NC Transportation Museum!
My baby and I!
This is SO much FUN!
Hard to get Bubba to look at the camera, as all he wanted to do was look at Thomas!
There's a fire truck too!
Not sure what Andy liked more, Thomas or the Fire Truck!
He was in heaven!
Thomas the Train jump house was SO fun!
Only complaint was it was record setting heat...95 degrees!
We were SO hot!

Hay Maize!
Bubba was a little stuck!
Here he is standing in line, yelling "ALL ABOARD!"
On the train!
Only ONE car was air conditioned...
This mama ran RIGHT for that one!
Hubba Bubba LOVED the train ride!
He was SO SO GOOD!
Here he is yelling, "GOOD BYE THOMAS!"
We had a BLAST and I loved the "one-on-one" time with my lil' boy!

Opps...

South Bend Community School Corporation is where I did my student teaching and taught for 4 years. They made the local news here last night, when the billboard they put up had a spelling error on it! I got a good chuckle out of it, and had to share it!

Dan Nicholas Park

This past weekend some friends of ours asked us to go to the Dan Nicholas Park with the kids. It was SUCH a cool, cheap place to take the family! Check out the pics below!

School Fundraiser

This year, Curtis' is running in a 20 minute run at school, to raise money. 10% goes to his classroom, part goes towards tech equipment for the school, and the rest goes for PTA events. Since we just moved down here, I thought I would post the donation link on my blog. Every kid in the neighborhood is raising money for the same event...so we can't go door to door. I basically posted this for grandparents/aunts. If you are interested in donating, please click on the link to the right- Chipin. Also, e-mail me to let me know, so he can get credit for it. kaleaver@hotmail.com

Thanks in advance!

Fall Ball

Today I came out of the house to find this....Curt-Dog was ready to ROCK N' ROLL and get to the ball park! It was our first day of real games!
We were there for 6 hours and I loved EVERY minute of it!
I'm pretty sure they did too!
Curtis has taken a bit of a liking to catching!
He's still young, but it's SO fun to watch him do this!

Here he is sneaking a peek my way!

When the coach gave him #7 he said, "I'm a catcher, AND #7 Just like Joe Mauer!"
After Curtis' game, it was time for Lefty's game!
I love that at his age, it's still cool to give your mom a "shout out!"
Brothers
Post games snacks!
A dirty and happy boy!
I have a feeling I'm going to LOVE Saturdays this fall!

Finally, here's a video of Lefty in action! He is 100% ALL BOY!

Money Hungry

A few weeks back, I caught Curtis opening the front door holding something behind his back. I asked him what he had and he told me "nothing." I went over to him and found this note behind his back.
I asked him what he was up to, and he told me was going to stand on the curb and hold this sign up, just like people do on the corners. He wanted money to buy a Wii game, and thought this was a very easy way to earn it! He's no dummy!
Later that week, I found this in Johnny's piggy bank. (It's glass and see through). Curtis is toally looking for a way to get rich quick! Hmmmm, reminds me of someone else I know...possibly his DADDY!
This is a picture I found on the dining room table at the end of that week that Curtis drew of me!
I look sweet, I know!
Another thing I am SO proud of is my son Johnny....take a look at what I found that he had written recently!

Only a mother could be SO proud!
Add to that, Bubba being a little stinker since I last posted, and you get a good feeling of what I go through each day! (:

This is a small glance into my life with little boys...I wouldn't have it any other way!

Wish I could bottle up...

MY BABY BOY!

I love everything about him...the way he talks, the way he walks, his sweet voice, his chubby hands, but most of all I love his...

Chubby little feet!
I love when he watches TV and he lays on me, and I stroke his feet. I love holding his feet, squeezing his feet, and tickling his feet. I love when he sticks his foot on my nose while I change his diaper and giggles and says, "STINKY!"
As much as I want my kids to grow older for one reason or another, I want to enjoy Andy at this age and snuggle with him as much as possible. Before I know it, he'll be in school and I won't have his chubby feet to stroke while he's laying on me watching a TV show in the morning.

Baller'

Ever since my lil' Bubba could sit up, he loved shooting hoops on his little Fischer Price baby hoop set. Once he started walking at 9 months, he was out on the deck shooting at the little Tykes hoop over and over again. Now, he loves to go down to the park and shoot at the "Big Boy" hoop every day! I had to post this video, as I thought it was SO cute that he doesn't want to play on the toys...only wants to "Hoop it UP!" Some day, maybe this video will play after they announce his name on the BIG SCREEN! Judging from his body structure and shot....football might be a better option! (:

These are a few of my favorite things...

Carni Rats!

This weekend we hit up a local carnival for a little fun! I knew the boys would love it and turn into total "Carni Rats", but I was surprised at how much fun Bubba was having! My little baby is growing up!
Curtis and Johnny and a little girlfriend of theirs went on this ride TWICE! I was a nervous wreck and had to have Erik take them, as I couldn't watch! I HATE stuff like this, that I"m not sure if it was put together correctly....but they LOVED IT! That's why I'm married to Erik....he's totally laid back about things like this, and we even each other out nicely!
Bubba went on a ghetto "Thomas the Train" and was VERY serious the entire time he was on it! He was in awe!
Of course Curt-Dog could not go to the fair without eating a foot long corn dog!
Quite frankly as gross as this looks, I can't lie, I would have loved one too!
What could be better than rides and some good eats on a perfect labor day weekend?

Happy 5th Birthday Johnny!

My little Johnny celebrated his 5th Birthday!
He had a great time and got spoiled with many presents and good food!
My "Jersey Boy" got an Aaron Rogers jersey from my sister Ann Marie's family which he was VERY excited about! He was mad he could not wear his Packer football pants to school, and decided he will be Aaron for Halloween! We'll see how many more times he changes his mind before the 31st! Of course, Lynne found out he wanted a Drew Brees jersey, and sent one to him in the mail! HOW exciting! He rounded it off with a North Carolina Panther jersey from Erik's mom! He was in heaven!Grandma Deb and Buck 9 came to visit the weekend before his b-day. They watched the kids for a night so we could get away, and it was WONDERFUL! They also did some shopping and got Johnny a few gifts he was very excited about....quite frankly, all the boys were excited for him to get!

All he wanted was a "football dummy." I envisioned myself standing outside each morning holding it for him, and wasn't sure I wanted to get into that yet! Grandma found this awesome dummy that he has been having a BLAST with!
Going in for the BIG tackle!
It's one week old and STILL holding strong!

They also gave Bubba his birthday present early, and he was LOVING the Thomas the Train trike!

All in all we had a great time with Dan and Deb. Erik and I explored Up-Town Charlotte, and got some MUCH needed R & R! It was also special for Johnny to have some family around to celebrate his birthday! We are very appreciative that they came and spent so much time with the boys and us! Can't wait for my next set of visitors already!
