More Fun!

I got new furniture last week, and Maggie just LOVES my new ottoman!
She has to fight the boys for it!
There is this awesome cupcake shop by my house, that I've been dying to try out. Today was $2 Tuesday, so we made the BIG trip! The boys were SO excited, and quite frankly, so were we!
Decisions, decisions!
YUMMO!
Our group bought Vanilla, Chocolate, red velvet, triple chocolate, and smore'!
Johnny had to try out all the sprinkle stations!
Curt-Dog and Mag-Dog loving EVERY bite!
Pretty sure MC has gained about a pound at my house!
Pretty good, since she's only gained 4lbs in her second year of life all together! (: She LOVES Cousin Katie!
Finally, we went next door to get Bubba's hair cut. They screwed up on his hair, and I had to pay $15 for them to BUZZ it! I could have done that at HOME by myself! I'm very bitter at the lady who did it, because she made my baby into a boy....my Bubba, into a big HUBBA BUBBA! Was a sad day for me! Here he is at the end of the haircut looking too grown up for me! My baby's getting older! TEAR!

Cousins, Cousins!

Thanks to our good friends from Scotland for sending these adorable t-shirts for the boys!
This week my cousins Brigit and Maggie drove to our house en-route from WI to Florida!
Here is Johnny loving up his lil' cousin Mary Cate!
Bubba can't get enough of "Baby Charlie!"
Actually, this is our newest cousin, Maggie Nita, but Bubba just can't stop calling her "Baby Charlie!"
Mary Cate LOVED the pool!
So did cousin Maggie!
Never too old or too cool for a water slide!
Maggie Nita was just a happy lil' camper!
Isn't she CUTE!?
After a hard day of jumping in off the side of the pool...about 40 times to be exact, you need lots of water!

Our Hang-Out

Near our house there are a bunch of shops and places to eat with a small park and a splash pad outside of them. Parents can eat, or drink at the tables while the kids play! It's our new hangout. Last Sunday we went out for pizza, and then let the kids play a bit.
Andy kept me on my toes as usual!
I swear...he looks for danger!
Johnny found a funky swing!
Andy is thinking, "What else can I find that will get me into trouble?"
Two peas in a pod!
The older boys loved the cork screws.

Dear Meredith...

Dear Meredith,

Bubba was at the pool the other day and there was the cutest family of three girls all in matching suits. He thought he would look handsome in one and asked them where they bought it. After trying it on, he doesn't think it quite suits his body type. Do you know anyone who would like this suit? If so, please let me know!

Hugs and Kisses,

Auntie Katie

Terrible Twos?

Little Andy is now 20 months and a huge stinker! He wants to do EVERYTHING his brothers do. When we are at football, he spends the entire hour and a half trying to run on the field, "I wan a play too, I wan a play too?" At the pool, he climbs out of the pool and makes a run for the slide over and over again, "I wan a slide, I wan a slide!" All this while I look like a crazy maniac chasing him everywhere he goes. If the boys brush their teeth, he needs to brush his teeth. If the boys go to the bathroom, he needs to try to go to the bathroom. He sure loves his big brothers!

Andy's newest thing is he blames EVERYTHING on Johnny. If he drops his cup and I ask, "Who did that?" He answers, "John John did!" If the books are all taken out of the bookshelf, and I say, "WHO DID THIS?" He replies- "John John!" The video above is the latest thing he is blaming on Johnny...although there is a fat chance anyone would believe him on this one!

Things are going well down here. We are settling in, and becoming more and more involved. Curtis and Johnny are in flag football and now swimming lessons. They LOVE hanging out at the pool and playing with the neighborhood kids there. Andy likes to do ANYTHING the boys are doing and ANYTHING he knows he shouldn't be doing! He has adjusted to our move faster than any toddler has for me during previous moves...that must come with being the third child.

Last week my parents were here for a visit and my Dad helped with LOTS of projects around the house. We have all the boxes unpacked, pictures are all hung, and a lot of little handy man projects finished. My mom and I were able to funiture shop and I got a new kitchen table, chairs, sectional, ottoman, and bedroom set. We finally got rid of a lot of hand-me-downs that we have had for the past 11 years of marriage and through college. We actually felt like "real" adults yesterday after it was all delivered! Until the first cup of juice is spilt or the first scratch is made, we are going to enjoy it all!

My blogging has been terrible lately for a few reasons. #1 because I've been so busy. #2, because I think Comcast accidently put in old school DIAL-UP for my internet connection and it takes me ages to up-load one picture and to post one blog entry! Hopefully they'll be out next week to make sure I have the highest speed ever so my blogging days can continue!

Pool time!

Monkey See...
Monkey Do!
Andy's newest love is jumping in off the side...I'm in for it when my parents leave!
Been really enjoying the pool now that we are fully unpacked!
My parents and the older boys have been down 3 or more hours each day in this hot heat.
Still having a BLAST with them!

Family Time...

Johnny and Andy watching TV one morning!
I LOVE this pic! Andy is hugging his Dukey Doggy, and Johnny is hugging Andy!
We eat a LOT of freezies around here!
Also, lil' Bubba has had a skinned nose since we got here. He runs and falls and just when we think it's healed, he does it again!

NO one likes a fried chicken dinner with sweet tea more than Curtis.
Here he is last Sunday night!
(My camera was an old one so excuse the blurriness!)

Johnny getting the snap from the center.

Lefty going out for a pass!

Johnny in red shorts and Curtis next to him- tall one!

Things are going well down in the south. My parents made a road trip down here and on the 4th of July they showed up and surprised the boys. When the boys came back from the pool and saw them, they were running up, jumping, and hugging them! What a fun surprise!

The fourth of July brought many firsts. It was the first time my mom had ever tasted sweet tea and she loved it! It was the first time all the boys from my dad through Johnny had ever seen such a HUGE fireworks display. It was also the first time a baby didn't wake up from the fireworks outside. Gotta love brick houses! Anyways, Dad, Erik, and the boys went to the Charlotte Knights minor league baseball game and a HUGE fireworks show afterwards. It's all the guys keep talking about. My dad keeps telling me how BIG they were. They must have been something, because my mom and I witnessed the best fireworks displays from the neighbors for about two hours. Fireworks are not illegal, and they go ALL out in the south.

It's been really great having my parents here and showing them the house, neighborhood, and Charlotte. Monday my dad, mom, and I went up shopping a bit, and then did a tour of up-town Charlotte, and the surrounding area. They were surprised to see how clean and neat everything was. I was shocked at how awesome the Panther's stadium is! Will be fun to go to a game or two there!

This week brings in HOT, HOT weather, and lots of pool time. We spent many hours at the pool today, and I have three very tired little boys! It's SO nice to have it so close to my house, especially when the weather is this hot! Dad and mom seem to be enjoying it too! I think I heard my mom yelling, "COW-A-BUNGA" as she was going down the water slide ALL the way back up at my house! (:

The boys are playing flag football and improving each week. Mom and Dad got to watch last night and took some pics that I included. My camera charger has been missing since the move, and it's really starting to annoy me, since I'm all the way unpacked! My blogging will be better once I get my camera up and running again!
