The school had a "Halloween Ball" and I went for 15 minutes to take pictures. EVERYONE had to wear a costume...so I went as a "Swiner!" I figured, I should go as something that consumes most of my day!

Only a Few More Days....

Until my "Baby" turns One!

This is his, "I'm doing something NAUGHTY look!" He looks at me like this. If I don't make direct eye contact with him he continues to look. The MINUTE I look at him, he gets a big smile on his face and goes for the outlet, stairs, toilet, etc! Here he is next to an outlet looking at me!
I'm going to enjoy these last few days of calling him "The Baby." After Monday, I have to switch to calling him by name...or research says he might need therapy someday! LOL!

Day 5...Home Again!

Before I left for the game on Saturday, I noticed Andrew's toe looked infected. Carrie kept me up-dated throughout the day, and when I got home, it had gotten much worse. Since I don't worry at all, you can imagine how calm and cool I stayed! Anyways, I called Grandma Deb to see what we should do. She said he needed to get in right away, since it was going up his toe. I called the ER's in the area. (We were planning on driving to Milwaukee). They were all super busy and had a lot of Swine Flu patients. A 3 hour wait with SWINERS is ALL I needed for my anxiety level! So, Grandma Deb said to come to her house and she'd help me make a decision on what to do. We drove to Chicago and got there at 10pm. Grandma had all the tools we needed and drained his toe, cleaned it, and got him comfortable for the night. We were able to make it back to MN on Sunday (longest day EVER) and get him to his pediatrician this morning for a dose of antibiotics. Now it's BACK to REALITY! Thanks to everyone from my uncle Bob, to my friends, and Erik's parents for making this a GREAT weekend all the way around!

Day 4- GAME DAY!

On Friday night, Johnny had a HUGE fit before bed because he forgot to get a drink of water out of the drinking fountain by the Grotto! He was mad b/c Curtis was "Holier" than he was! So, he said on Saturday, he was not getting ONE sip, but TWO sips so he was Holier than CURTIS! (TAKE THAT!) Here the kids are on the way to the Grotto ONE LAST time!

We played LOTS and LOTS of Football this weekend! Here Curtis is waiting for the band to march to the stadium!

Here Johnny is "Irish-ed OUT!" I had 3 VERY tired boys when the week was over!

Here is a video at the game. Each time the Irish scored, they lifted up our kids to do the "push-ups." The kids were LOVING it! Who am I kidding, so did I!

Day 3

Today we headed to the Hall of Fame for the kids to run around a bit!

Next it was off to the Grotto to light some candles and say some prayers. I told the boys to kneel and pray...Meaning "BE QUIET!" (Johnny goes to a Catholic pre-school.) He kneels down, says REAL loud, the sign of the cross and then starts singing...and I mean BELTS OUT the "Angel of God" prayer that they sing at school. Everyone was looking and laughing! It was SO cute! Totally didn't even expect that!

Then it was off to the Stadium to go down the tunnel and on the field!

The boys went down to feed the ducks at the lake! Erik taught them how to hand free the ducks and I was thinking, "BIRD FLU" the entire time!

That afternoon we went to my friend Carol's house for a visit. Carol and I met in nursing class at the hospital when I was prego with Curtis and she was prego with Mary. 5 1/2 years later, and 7 kids between us! (All 7 nursed!) That class sure came in handy! Anyways, we use to walk with the baby's, and here they are all grown up! I'm LOVING Mary's "Tude" that she's giving Curtis!

We were playing football in front of "Touchdown Jesus" and the Providence Men's Hockey Team was playing too! This kid was from Fairbault, MN....not too far from us! REALLY nice team!
On to the Pep Rally. It was SO different since the Joyce Center is under construction! It was on the Irish Green. Music, games, food, beer, were all available! We met my friend Carrie and her 3 kids there. The kids danced and played football the whole time!

NO, that's not RALPHIE....it's ANDREW! LOL!
Only bummer about being outside was there wasn't stadium seating, so the kids couldn't see well, and it was COLD!

We went back to Carrie's house and ordered pizza, put the kids to sleep, and hung out! Was a GREAT day spent with old friends!

Day 2

We were out the door early in Chicago...but not without my Duncan Donuts French Vanilla Coffee (Light and Sweet!)! Oh how I miss Duncan Donuts! YUMMO!

We headed right for Campus and met my cousin Chad (Curtis' Godfather) for lunch. He is a student at ND in the same program Erik was in. Here the boys and Chad are at Reckers!

Curtis LOVING his new sign! This was the start of collecting things. Johnny and Curtis took ANY free thing, or anything they found on the ground. Garbage was "Lucky Garbage," Leaves were "Lucky Leaves" and so on!

Our old apartment where we lived for 4 out of the 5 years. Not looking so inviting to me now! LOL~!

On Thursday night we met Adam and Laura and their kids at Legends on Campus for dinner. It was SO nice to catch up with a few of our closest friends! But, MUCH different than when we lived there and had NO kids. Now between all of us there were five to entertain at the dinner table!

Here's Emma, and she is our godchild. We haven't seen her since she was one year old! What a cutie and how fun to spend time with her!
