Our New Pet

Introducing the newest member of our family- "OMO!"
Megan told us of a spot that she had seen turtles when she goes for walks. Curtis and Johnny, (AND ERIK) were SO excited and we left on our mission right away! You can tell I've been with Erik for a long time. (16 years since we started dating!) He told me to get a net, and a racquetball racket to catch the turtles! Only Dr. Erik would think to grab a RACKET???!!!! Here we are walking down the path to our "Pot of Gold!" (Megan said that this picture alone was worth the trip with our family!)
Here Curtis is carrying our turtle/frog tank. This truly captures Curtis with a "Bit of the Devil" in him! Notice the jersey....the neighbors gave it to the boys and are trying to brainwash them! Disgusting I tell you!
Here Andrew is chilling out watching his bro's!
The boys looked and looked and looked....but the turtles must have gone away for the night!
Curtis did find this beautiful goose decoy that Erik told him NOT to pick up! Listens well, doesn't he! Anyways, at the end of the hunt, we ran into two brothers who live across the path from the marsh. They had caught turtles earlier in the day, and gave Curtis and Johnny one!

That night we came home and discovered some ticks on us. I had two and Erik had one. So, we stripped the boys down and checked them, and then started showers. Johnny slipped on the tile, and cracked open his head and "Co-Pay Katie" was at it again! Had to go to the ER to get his head glued closed! Its always something!

On another note, last night Curtis was busy coloring on the driveway. He and the girl next door, were playing. They came from behind our house and said, "We went to the Mayors House!" They walked to the culd-a-sac behind us, and knocked on the Mayor's door. Curtis told him his address and said he drew a picture for him! He's probably wondering where this kid's mom is! I tell you, Curtis is going to give me a run for my money before he leaves this house someday!

Goldie

The boys and I went to the Kids Health Fair at the hospital! (Probably caught the swine flu too!) Johnny was SO excited about meeting Goldie the Gopher. My neighbor is rubbing off on him!
Johnny brought his ball to try to beat Goldie- Because Johnny "LOVES" basketball! (Insert his really deep voice!) Didn't work, so Johnny tackled him instead!
Curtis was loving it too!

Here they are at the EMS station! What a fun day...and I just noticed, Curtis' bike helmet made quite the appearance as well!

Screen Saver

I got this picture from Megan tonight! Totally a screen saver! Meredith whispered in my ear today when we were shopping, that I'm her FAVORITE Aunt and she LOVES to shop with me! Was there ever any question??? How adorable is she?

Ladies Night Out???

Andrew fell asleep, notice all the food that I had dropped on him! You should have seen the pile I ate off of him!

Erik's been out of town again this past week. My friend's hubby was out of town too. So, last night we met at a restaurant in town for a nice "Ladies Night Out" dinner....with five boys ages five and under! It was actually nice...but I'm sure the margarita's that were the size of the baby's head helped as well!

The boys enjoying their time out!
The picture below is SO funny because the kids ran into the restaurant and were saying, "Look at the mermaid!"
Here's a little clip of Andrew loving the "Creeper!"

The Past Week

One of my favorite times of the year has started....rummage sale time! I think I already wrapped up the "Deal of the Year" on my first day of hitting the sales! I got the playpen above AKA- "Andrew's home" for the summer for a DOLLAR!!!! What a steal! I've only been looking for one for 5 years now! Guess third times the charm! You know what else I love? I didn't think anyone loved garage sales more than me. But Curtis comes in a close second! When he found the magic kit he's been wanting since Christmas, there were hoots and hollers coming from the car when we got in it! Gotta love that kid!
Johnny is SUCH a good big brother to Andrew. Even though I do call him the "creeper", Andrew does REALLY like it when Johnny and his friends are around!
My three sons! (Creeper's still at it!)

How cute are these two cheeky monkeys!? Megan and Kyle officially finished their masters degrees on Saturday and came over to celebrate with a beer and ice cream. Sounds YUMMY, doesn't it! Congrats to them!

I am VERY proud of myself this week because I learned something that I should have learned about 20 years ago. Megan taught me how to sew blankets. My cousin Cori made me the nicest flannel blankets when I had kids. I really wanted to learn to sew them myself. I made some bigger ones for Curtis and Johnny, and a smaller one for Andrew! Home Economics teacher on Maternity Leave= WATCH OUT JO ANN FABRICS! We only spent an hour and a half there today! Can't wait to hit the machine again! Who knew that I would have liked it so much!
Not sure this combo ever has been seen before. Green Bay Packer pants, and a Timber wolves Jersey! I often ask myself- "Who dresses this kid?!" I'm sure his teacher does too!

Warm weather meant the water guns and sprinkler came out this week! Curtis has been itching for it since he got the gun in January for his birthday! What fun the kids had!

Rainy Day

Curtis helping Erik out yesterday power-washing the deck for a new coat of stain!
Johnny helping feed Andrew some peas! What a mess, as you'll see at the bottom!
Big Bubba and Lil' Bubba!

Johnny called up Megan today and said, "Could you come over and make chocolate chip cookies with me, but DO NOT forget Meredith!"
Meredith loves it at my house...except for the "creeper" is back at it!
She's not sure what to do with all this attention from Johnny!

Andrew after a few spoonfuls of Johnny feeding him!
