Friday Night

The three boys and Erik playing "Crack the Whip" on the scooters!
The park is made to look like it's outdoors, but it's indoors.
Adventure land...we didn't spend much time here. Someone puked and pooped in the slide, and I limited my kids to the gym!
Johnny LOVED playing basketball!
Curtis "ALWAYS WANTED a wheel chair!"

We went up to Edina with some friends and their kids. We first went to dinner with five kids, which was REALLY relaxing and enjoyable....NOT! Then it was off to Edinburgh Park for a night of fun! The kids LOVED running around for a few hours. This is when the adults really got to relax, and have a real conversation! We did lose Johnny for a while, but some nice lady kindly brought him back to us, as I was in a panic looking for him!

Boys, Boys, Boys...

Some lady at Target kept calling Andrew "Bubba" the other day, and it's kinda sticking! Here he is reacting to the new nickname! His godfather Callan will have to be "Big Bubba" and maybe Andrew will be "Lil' Bubba!"
A cute gift from the Gagnon Family! Look how big he's getting!
It's Catholic Schools Week (my favorite from when I was younger) and Curtis is posing for his "I.D." picture. Tomorrow is dress like a teacher day! He can hardly wait! What does Johnny do when Curtis is at school? Besides talk my ear off, he steals his toys! Here is Johnny is singing along to the High School Musical microphone that Curtis got for his birthday. If you've ever heard Johnny's voice, low and scratchy, you know how beautiful his singing is!

The longer the winter goes, the more I feel consumed by BOYS! I forgot how LONG winter is, since we've missed two of them in the past four years! Anyways, things here are going better. Curtis got the flu a week and a half ago. So we had to reschedule his b-day party with his friends. Then, on Friday night, I got hit... hard! It's the first time we've had the stomach flu since I've had kids. It was a doozy! Johnny, Erik, and Andrew have steered clear so far. After disinfecting my house like three times, I hope I killed all the germs! I'll post pics from Curtis' big party this weekend. He is SO, SO excited! Who am I kidding, SO AM I!

My 5 Year Old!

Above is Curtis 5 years ago, and below is Curtis today!
Curtis using his FAVORITE present- BIG BOY ROLLER BLADES! (With NO "training wheels"-Or as you and I use to call them, Roller Skates!)

Andrew enjoying the party!

Five years ago today, I was in South Bend, Indiana giving birth. Erik was excited as ever, and I was nervous as ever. My best friend Carrie was with me, and so were Erik's Dad and Step-Mom Deb. Since then, Curtis has moved 7 times, lived in three different States, two countries(twice), and visited five different counties. It's a lot more than I can say I did in the first twenty-five years of my life! Happy Birthday Curtis!

Oh Happy Day!

I'm not sure if you remember me talking about my friend Lynne (Scottish), in Holland. She's one of those people that I met who made a huge difference in my time there. Since I've been back, I really haven't missed too much of Holland, except for Lynne and her family. She is someone I really connected with, who you only meet once or twice in a lifetime. I miss her friendship and seeing her everyday. Today she called me with GREAT news. It's official, that her husband accepted a job in New Orleans for a FOUR year stint! I'm SO pumped! Now we won't have a time change to deal with, and can talk on the phone again every day! Plus, we'll be able to see each other a few times a year! I already know what I'm asking for for my birthday- UNLIMITED TEXT MESSAGING! Obama and Lynne...what could be better!

Long Week

We have the snow, blizzard like conditions, and the extreme cold , so it's sure to be a long week! Today so far, the two older boys decided to have a "Frog Party." They took all their toy frogs and put them in Curtis' room and dumped buckets of water on the carpet floor in the room to create the "right environment." Not to mention they were soaked from head to toe, and the bathroom was a wreck! (I was downstairs nursing at the time!) Honestly, what goes through a boy's mind when they are deciding what to do?

Then, when they were eating lunch, they were trying to make Andrew laugh. Johnny had his mouth full of chocolate milk and Curtis made him laugh and it ended up ALL over Andrew- who had a WHITE sleeper on. All of this, and it's ONLY noon! I'm hoping for naps all around this afternoon!

Andrew's 10 weeks old today!
